The Deep and the Dark

Tell me that you’ll never quit. 
That in my pain, with me you’ll sit, 
Holding my hand, and calming my heart. 
Helping me through the deep and the dark. 

Help me feel your steady hand. 
Reminding me that with you I can.
Do more than I can do on my own. 
You never asked me to do it alone.

Remind me you’re always near, 
Within each breath, within each tear.
That Your power is made perfect in me.
That I am strong even when I’m weak. 

Let me hear your still small voice. 
Silencing calm the loudest of noise. 
Bringing a peace that no one can best. 
For in you alone my heart finds true rest.
