Temperatures Are Rising
It must be spring!
Oh, how I love spring, the smell of clean air right after the rain, seeing budding trees and that ray of sunshine between days, it makes my heart flutter with excitement. Spring is an awesome reminder that God makes all things new again! He brings to life!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
Spring is a time of beginnings, exciting opportunities, and filled with lots of happy anticipation for summer. I welcome the fresh start offered by spring. As followers of Christ, it is a reminder of the clean slate that is ours because of the good news of Christ, His resurrection, and the assurance of a transformed life in Him.
Romans 8:35a ESV
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
At the end of each day, right before he falls asleep, my son would ask “Mummy, how happy are you with me today; are you very, very, very, super-very, very, very happy with me” and with a huge smile I say, “I am very, very, very, super-very, very, very happy with you today and I love you”.
Just like my son knows and experiences my love, I know and experience God’s unending love daily. I am secured in His love, knowing that nothing I ever did made Him love me, so nothing I ever do will make Him stop loving me. We are refreshed by the love and grace we receive from God- the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God.
Romans 5:8 ESV
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Isaiah 43:1b ESV
Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
Just like the flowers that sprout to life and bloom in the Spring, we have the God-given ability to blossom when we accept Him into our lives. It is not by works, lest anyone boasts.
Just like tulips and daffodils making its way towards the sun, declaring in dazzling beauty the victory of spring, lets push our way through, riding on God’s faithfulness and be secured in His love. He knows your name; You were bought with a price; the blood of His son.
God is love, he is excited about us, we can say with the prophet Jeremiah, “This I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:21–23).
Our Redeemer lives!! He has ransomed us!! Shalom!!
