Volunteer With Us!
Volunteers are at the heart of what we do at Compass Point. Whether it’s helping you find a parking spot on Sunday morning, serving coffee, helping our CPKidz learn about Jesus, or gardening each Sunday – we are grateful for each of you.
Hospitality
Task: Greet people by providing a welcoming space, provide information about church.
When: Sunday Mornings
Time commitment: 1 hour per week (Sunday Service), possibly
Available Positions: Greeters, Ushers, Parking Attendants, Cafe Baristas, Connection Centre, Stick Around Sunday Set-up/Clean-Up team, Stick Around Sunday food contributors (bake/purchase and donate)

Young Life Leader (High School)
Task: serve as a mentor for a small group of high school students
When: Thursdays 7:30-9:45pm, Sundays 4:30-7:30pm

Capernaum Leader (Middle School and High School)
Task: serve as a mentor for middle school or high school students with disabilities
When: during regular Young Life and WyldLife programming

Worship Team Member
Task: Practice, rehearse, and lead our congregation in musical worship.
When: Sunday morning set-up, rehearsal, and services (8:30-11AM), other events and rehearsals as needed.
Time Commitment: 3-4 hrs plus home practice time.

Outside Gardening
Task: Includes light gardening work, can be done on a regular rotation (weekly, monthly) or as available.
When: Primarily during the Spring, Summer and early Fall assist in maintaining and caring for garden areas around the church property.

WyldLife Leader (Middle School)
Task: serve as a mentor for a small group of middle school students
When: Fridays 7:00-9:00pm

CP Kidz Ministry
Task: Join our CP Kidz ministry on Sunday mornings! We need volunteers who love to minister to kids nursery to Grade 5. Time spent is approx 9:30 am to 11:15am. For more information, contact Nadele below

General Building Maintenance
Task: Assisting with small maintenance and building projects throughout the building. Experience in working with tools and skills/knowledge in general household repairs beneficial.

Sound Tech (2)
Task: Mix audio for our front-of-house (live) or broadcast (live-streamed) services using our digital sound boards and serve as a member of our production team.
When: Sunday morning set-up, rehearsal, and services (8:30-11AM), other events and rehearsals as needed.
Time Commitment: 3-4 hrs, typically scheduled once out of three week.
Technical aptitude and experience is a plus, but training will be provided.

541 Eatery & Exchange
541 has a wonderful team of dedicated volunteers who participate in everything from customer service to dishwashing to food prep!
