YOUNG LIFE BURLINGTON

We have been amazed to see the ways that God has continued to provide us with opportunities to share the Gospel with teens and pre-teens in Young Life Burlington!  Through the fall we continued to meet weekly with kids, in small groups, in outdoor spaces such as public parks and backyards.  We have never before been drawn to spend time at a dark park on a cold windy night, but this year dark parks have held a special place in our hearts as it has been in these spaces where we have had the amazing opportunity to share about the Light of the world. 

During the lockdown, we are meeting virtually, but we continue to be amazed as we see our screens fill up week after week with kids, many whom don’t know Jesus, that come to laugh with us, and hear the Gospel! 

YOUNG LIFE MISSISSAUGA

We know that God is at work here in Young Life Mississauga. There are new teens coming out each week (virtually.) One thing we have never really struggled with here in Mississauga is having teenage girls coming out to Young Life. However, in this zoom season, we have also seen God moving in the hearts of teenage boys in our city!

We have had nine new boys join us since the beginning of January – which is crazy! I am so thankful for the way that God continues to show us that this is His work. There is no reason for us to be able to meet new kids when we are completely online, and yet we are. It is exciting to be a part of this faith-building journey and being able to step in places where we can tangibly see God working.

Young Life has a rich history in Toronto with robust ministry in the 1960’s and 1970’s but ministry has remained dormant since then. We are praying, spreading the word, beginning to fundraise and working towards getting the pieces in place to restart Young Life in Toronto!

This includes hiring a City Developer and City Director to launch the work of Young Life in the city. Please join us in prayer for this city of nations that needs the Gospel. Pray for our committee, our future staff, and for the movement of the Spirit to lead and guide the way.
