Compass Point Food Market

We all go through difficult times when we need some kind of help and support from others. Our goal is to make the Food Market a welcoming space for those who attend and for those who volunteer.

Every Story is Different

Dates: 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month
Time: 9:00 – 10:30 am

The Food Market is located at Compass Point Bible Church at 1500 Kerns Road in Burlington.

When you arrive, take the middle of the 3 driveways off Kerns Road, and go all the way to the back of the building.

Entrance will be through the back door into the gymnasium.

What Information Will Be Required?

We require a form of ID that includes full name and address. There’ll be an interview to ask a series of questions required for registration. Some of these questions include:

  • Name
  • address
  • birth dates of family members that live in the same household (with the corresponding ID)
  • marital status
  • phone number and email
  • yearly income
  • identification to validate all information.

Additionally, few other questions will be asked, that will help us get to know you and understand your situation so we can offer support in other ways that we are able.

What Should I Bring Each Week?

Please bring your own reusable bags to put your groceries in, your ID and Food Market card (with barcode in).

How Long Should I Expect to be at the Food Market?

This depends on when you arrive at the Food Market, the random number received, and how many others are attending that week.

Those showing up before 8:30 am and getting a random number can expect to be there until about 9:10 am (for those receiving #1) or possibly as late as 10:00 am (for those receiving #30 or #40).

Those showing up at 10 or 10:15, might only be there for 15-30 minutes, but may have a reduced selection of food to choose from.

Can I get Food Delivered?

No.  We do not offer food delivery.

Can I Pick up Food for Someone Else?

No, you cannot pick up for someone else.  In order to ensure the equitable treatment of all guests, we require that food recipients be present in person.
